Potty Break

I just used the special "You can't use this bathroom because you aren't a democrat" bathroom here at work. It was the cleanest bathroom in the building. Also had better lighting than in my office. That reminds me. I need to look into putting some lighting in here.

am I that old?

EMG made some kids play old games like Donkey Kong and Space invaders and then reported the results. Hilarity ensued.

Karaoke

Any christian karaoke songs out there? I find nothing.

Why apple?

I'm willing to listen to the argument for Apple computers. So if someone wants to buy me an ibook or something. I'd accept it.

Now with 50% more title

added titles to my blogs. That is all.
I'll be redoing this blog with the coming new year. I'm going to add something I like to call: Jason's things to do this year. It'll be a list of around 20 goals that I want to accomplish in 2004. I haven't completed the list yet, so I won't post it yet. If you have any suggestions let me know.
Changed over to a new server. The BBR Message boards will be down for a while. Until then, enjoy some blogging. If you would like a blog here, let me know.

It's alive.

Changing servers for bbr. Going to a big php system instead of asp. Should be fun to learn something new. It's a free deal for three years from 1and1.com so hopefully I can afford to host my own thing by then. Will be redesigning everything. I'm thinking of going with a main blog that has everyone involved with comments instead of a forum this time. It's a bloggers world now.

I have got to recommend the new browser from mozilla called firebird. It rocks. Built in google toolbar and pop-up killer with tabbed windows instead of new browser windows for multiple pages. Rock on.

Not having the best of luck hooking up my network adapter. I am ready to scream. Somehow I screwed up my router as well. Now it doesn't work. Some super-genius I am.

update on the seinfeld to dvd struggle. Kramer cracked.
Pretty good Christmas haul this year. Got some long sleeved t-shirts, a network adapter that I haven't figured out yet, lots of jackets, books, and cash. Among other things. Still no segway though.
Good news/bad news on the whole senifeld dvd thing. Go here.

Merry Christmas.

Very cool little program called BoomBox. It finds internet radio stations and you can tune in to any of them. It's free.
Yes I'm greedy. Could've got one of these, but no... had to get a furnace.
I have no purpose for this blog. I've noticed some blogs are geared towards certain things. I don't have that. I just write what I write. It's probably to the detriment of the blog, but alas it is what it is.

Found this tonight. Wow. Takes me back. That was some fun stuff. Wonder if I'll ever be in a baseball league again.
From The Case for Christ concerning crucifixion:

" The pain was absolutely unbearable," he continued. "In fact, it was literally beyond words to describe; they had to invent a new word: excruciating. Literally, excruciating means 'out of the cross.' Think of that: they needed to create a new word, because there was nothing in the language that could describe the intense anguish caused during the crucifixion."

now playing: Kutless and Todd Agnew

New stuff to me. Kutless is pretty much a christian version of creed. Todd Agnew is pretty good. Especially the Amazing Grace song. Not sure what it is called.
Can't wait until the new library is done.
Maybe I can talk OMD into getting me this for Christmas
Do people still do new year's resolutions? We've less than 2 weeks until the new year. Let's see the standards are lose weight, read more, give up something. Bah.

Less than a week until Christmas. Oh what will this good season bring?

I highly recommend reading The Case for Christ. I finished a chapter last night on the archaelogical proof of Jesus' existance and the confirmation of facts in His biographies. Very excellent source material. The book has covered the reliablity of the gospels, the corroboratting evidence found outside the bible, and answering critics statements about the unreliability of it all. Very good and I think I need to buy the book because I can't remember it all.

The Gospel of John is showing at Stadium 16 now. I didn't know it was out.
"I'm really enjoying this marriage thing. You think about each other, you care about each other. It's wonderful. Plus, I love saying 'my wife'. Once I started saying it, I couldn't stop. 'My wife' this, 'My wife' that. It's an amazing way to begin a sentence."
- Jerry Seinfeld, in "The Wife" episode

"My wife has an inner ear infection. I like that." --Kramer
I think I've been neglecting my inner techie. I need a project. Not a work project, but a fun useless project that when I tell my wife what it does she'll say, "Why would you want to do that?"
I used to be really into music. Wha happen? I rarely listen to anything voluntarily. I used to have a bazillion cd's and was always looking for more. Am I old? Is this what happens? I always wondered about that with my parents' record collection. Here they have so many records but it is from a certain period of time. Hardly anything new ever since. Am I traveling down the same path?
This is the video camera I want to get eventually. Why settle for the small stuff?
The most expensive headphones I have ever seen.

= ?
Well well well well. July 2nd, 2004. Mark it down.
The cardinals traded JD Drew and Eli Marrero. I'm not too happy about it. They got this guy along with 2 major league pitchers. We named our plant Eli. Ah well. At least Drew seems happy about being traded to the Braves.

Stuffitis is running rampant. This time of the year is hard for me because I'm a spender. I like to buy for me and for others. It's why we're in debt in the first place. Trying not to spend is very hard. Especially when it comes to gadgets and children. Not buying children, buying stuff for my children. I thought it was a good idea to get christmas shopping done early, but I just end up buying more stuff.

Tried some cumin and cayenne pepper in the tacos tonight. Very spicy.

I feel like I didn't do anything this week, but I did a lot of stuff. There are still dishes to be done and diapers to change however. I could not be a stay at home mom. My hat's off to you, ladies.

Tuesday, December 09, 2003

So we borrowed the leaf blower, but I can't get it started. So I'm raking leaves on my vacation.

Pics of the new Cardinal Stadium are up. Looking good.

Luke will be arriving here on Friday it looks like. Hooray! Finally get to see the boy.

So I've got these Babe Ruth postcards. I have no idea what they are worth and apparently no one else does either. My scanner doesn't work so I need to find another one. The pics I took with my camera just aren't cutting it. Maybe they are worth $5. Maybe they are worth $5000. Who knows?
