Teach them a codeword as they do it, then in the future when they are older, they will WANT to go back in the house after a bit and like Joe says, if you are patient it will happen.
We use: "Get busy" and/or "Be quick" and it works well. If we are going to take Glory in the truck with us she'll be all eager to get in the truck, but I won't let her in until she's at least pee'd (sp?), so she's good at squatting whenever I say "Be quick."
I've never bothered to confirm she's actually doing anything... she could be snowing me.
