Former St. Louis Cardinal fan favorite, super sub Joe McEwing , doesn't figure to make the New York Mets team as a backup infielder, reportedly has drawn some interest from his former club, the Cardinals, the Mets' official website reports.

We also have reports that Arizona and Anaheim have also inquired about McEwing.

Joe will most probably be dealt prior to the end of the spring training and there are a lot of Cardinal fans to include Cardinals GM Walt Jocketty's own son Joey who would like to see McEwing return to St. Louis. McEwing was Joey's favorite player before his own dad traded him to New York."
