The obsession of the week has been old home movies. I borrowed my Grandma's projector and some of her old 8mm reels. We watched a few of them last night. Very short. It's amazing how far the home video industry has advanced in 30 years. I'm looking into putting these videos onto vhs or dvd or something. The best deal for someone else to do it that I have seen is $0.08 a foot. That is $16.00 for one 200 ft real. I looked on the net and the best way they say to do it is just project the movie on a clean white piece of paper and then video tape that with a regular camcorder. I think I'll wait to do this until I can get a digital video camera so that I don't have any loss of quality (what little quality there is on a 8mm camera). Anywho, I got to see me as a youngster, mostly at Christmas time. Fun stuff. It would be nice to have them all on one DVD because setting up that projector is a pain.
